The 2 day Colca Canyon Tour – Cañon de Colca in Spanish – offers travellers the opportunity to get up close and personal to countryside life in Peru, spot soaring Andean condors, bathe in secret thermal baths, uncover jaw-dropping vistas, stay in an oasis, and hike along dusty roads into the depths of one of the world’s deepest canyons.

Pick up from Puno at 6:15 AM, then we will start the guided tour to the second deepest canyon in the world: The Colca Canyon.
Along the way we will arrive to Lagunillas, where we will watch the local birds gracefully soar, and explore different lagoons. We drive to the 4,200m where the Pampa Cañahuas Natural Reserve is located. Here we will watch vicugnas, llamas and alpacas. Then we will arrive to Patahuasi for drinking of the famous local coca tea.
Arrival to the highest point Patapampa, located at 4,800m, natural view point where we will see the majestic mountain range.
At 1pm we will arrive to town of Chivay, located at 3600m. Lunch in Chivay and accommodation. In the afternoon we visit the hot springs La Calera, and then finish by returning to Chivay.
At 7pm will meet the tour guide in the lobby of the hotel and then transfer to the planetarium Maria Reiche, which is located at Casa Andina Colca (Chivay – service available just in a private Colca Tour.
You will learn how the ancient Colca Canyon inhabitants interpreted the night sky according to their myths. After this unique spectacle, you will have dinner with a folk show. We finish our night by returning to the hotel.
Important : Just Private Colca Tour from Puno includes the visit to the Planetarium in Chivay.
We have an early morning at 5:30AM. After breakfast we begin our departure to the famous Cruz del Condor at this place it is possible to watch the flight of the Condors, during the way back to Chivay along the way back to Chivay we will visit the different natural view points and the Yanque and Maca towns.
Arrive to Chivay to have a delectable lunch and then hop in our van to depart to Arequipa city. You can expect arrival to Arequipa and your hotel around 5PM.
